WELCOME TO
ECO SOLUTIONS!
ABOUT ME
My name is Jess. I live in London with my husband and two sons.
As a qualified executive coach with over a decade of experience in building and developing teams in high-pressure sales environments, I've dedicated my career to unlocking human potential and understanding what enables people to perform at their highest potential.

But that's only part of my story. First and foremost I am a mother, and my life took a profound turn when I welcomed my first child into the world just three days into the first Covid lockdown. Suddenly, my world was reshaped by this tiny new life, bringing with it a mix of vulnerability and strength. This experience deepened my understanding of myself and sparked a powerful concern for the future our children will inherit.

Eco Solutions was born from my experiences as a mother and a coach, and my desire to advocate for a sustainable future. The questions explored and the insights offered are shaped by the daily experiences of a busy working mother with small children. Navigating the realities of environmental responsibility is complex, and at times overwhelming. Eco Solutions is a place to find accessible and easy eco swaps. I hope it becomes a place where discussion and small changes can grow into collective power and impact.
ECO SOLUTIONS
Eco Solutions is about finding positivity and purpose in a time plagued by negative predictions about the future of our natural world

The climate crisis is an undeniable reality: temperatures are soaring, ice caps are melting, wildfires are raging, and countless species teeter on the brink of extinction. The phenomenon of recording-breaking temperatures appears so frequently on our news reels that it is like a broken record itself.
But amidst this daunting backdrop, I remain an optimist. I refuse to believe that all is lost, and I reject the notion that all the damage we've inflicted is irreparable. What I do believe is that we need to act now, and I also believe that everyone can do their bit – no matter how small. All it takes is for us to believe that we can make a difference.
The truth is, I haven’t always been an optimist. For many years I experienced despair and paralysis, suffering from anxiety, and choosing to avoid negative or worrying information in the hopes that it would just go away.
What changed? I started to act; in small ways, I’ll admit, but the action gave me purpose, and purpose gave me hope, and hope turned into optimism.
Faced with the stark realities of today, each one of us is faced with a choice. We can remain indifferent, hoping the problem will resolve itself. We can succumb to despair and become paralysed by inaction. Or, we can choose to transform our mindset and that of others around us. We can embrace the role of stubborn optimists, steadfast in the understanding that no matter how tough, we must, and we can rise to the challenge.
In this blog, I share my journey from apathy to action and positivity, offering practical tips on how to embark on your own brand of eco-activism. I explore the symbiotic relationship between habit formation, action-taking, and purpose. I’ll discuss how radical climate action can become the new normal as we all jump onto the train that is the biggest social movement in all of history.
EASY ECO SWAPS
Eco Swaps is all about re-assessing the "stuff" that we buy. And exploring why that "stuff" is actually having a massive impact on the natural world. I started by researching alternatives to the big name brands and believe it or not, the more I looked the more inspired I became. I realised quite how many people are out there making change happen; reinventing crazy single use products to make them more sustainable, transforming the world of design to return to the traditional, natural, and more durable way of making things, combating food waste, stopping desertification, replanting, rewilding, refilling, reusing, repairing.
I wish I was one of these ingenious people at the design end, but seeing as I am not, I have made it my mission to be their champions. Check out Easy Eco Swaps to see the highlights from my research. Everything I've learnt from the people around me, everything I've tried out myself and found to be a really great alternative to the harmful and wasteful stuff we buy and use every day. Everything that is making a difference. The ideas are here so you can try things on, see what fits with you and your way of living, and make a change that works for you.
ECO CONVERSATIONS
Since the Industrial Revolution, innovation has outpaced our understanding of its impact on both the planet and ourselves. While technological advancements brought economic growth and urban development, they also introduced challenges—pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss—that we continue to grapple with today. Only now, with mounting evidence of climate change and environmental degradation, are we fully beginning to understand the trade-offs of this rapid progress.

The issue is that innovation raced ahead of our ability to foresee and mitigate its consequences, leaving us now in a race against time to develop sustainable solutions. One of the most important lessons I've learned is that the climate crisis isn't just a scientific issue—it's a deeply human, emotional, and systemic one. We cannot hope to change our approach without first changing the narrative.

There is an urgent need for a mindset shift towards positive action—a realisation that the moment for change is now, and that each of us holds the responsibility to make it happen. The way we're doing things today isn’t working. We’re poisoning both ourselves and the planet.
Eco Conversations is a chance to start a positive conversation on how we can confront our climate anxieties and deepen our capacity to feel and act, rather than switch off.
